Personnel

AMANDA ORCUTT, CTOAmanda is responsible for ensuring Greencrest's IT infrastructure is fully compliant with all federal and banking regulations. One month before her quarterly presentation to the Board, there's a major security breach. Amanda 30 days to address the breach and get Peter, the auditor, to certify Greencrest as compliant. If they fail to obtain compliance, Amanda knows she will soon be an ex-CTO.

WESLEY JONES, SENIOR DBA Wesley is the lead DBA at Greencrest, and is responsible for ensuring the firm's databases are compliant and secure. He can't figure out how their database is being hacked -- nor by whom. But Wesley is determined to stop the hacker, pass the audit, and save his job.
BOB POMERANTZ, CEOBob is the charismatic CEO of Greencrest, a veteran of the banking industry, and a born leader. Bob has confidence in Amanda, his trusted CTO, and knows she will somehow resolve the firm’s twin data theft and audit crises before the big Board meeting.
FRANK wheeler, SOFTWARE ENGINEER Frank is Bob Pomerantz’s personal favorite software engineer. Frank is efficient, savvy, and often burns the midnight oil at Greencrest’s HQ. Frank and Shelly, however, butt heads when it comes to recommending a database security solution. For some reason, Frank HATES DbProtect, and discourages Amanda and Wesley from purchasing a license.
SHELLY FOX, JUNIOR DBA Cyber-punk Shelly is a junior DBA on Wesley’s team. When she’s not hula-hooping or playing guitar, Shelly is hard at work fixing database bugs for Greencrest. When she learns about the failed audit and database breaches, she advocates a database security solution called DbProtect. Her only opponent is Frank, who defensively urges Amada and Wesley to ignore Shelly and go with his recommended solution.
Gretchen Sherman, CFO No-nonsense Gretchen is all about the bottom line at Greencrest, which has taken a huge hit in the wake of the database breach. Her research indicates each of the 100,000+ customer records exposed will cost the firm $200, or $20 million (and counting). With Greencrest hemorrhaging money, will Gretchen approve the purchase of a DbProtect license? Or will she endorse smarmy Frank’s band-aid solution?
peter Grazdanipeter is a tough-as-nails Auditor from an accounting firm hired by Greencrest. When Wesley reports a major data breach on one of the firm's most sensitive databases, Peter refuses to certify Greencrest as compliant.
