Discovery
A "Discovery," as performed by AppDetectivePro for IBM DB2 on the Mainframe is a systematic approach to searching your network for database and database components. An AppDetectivePro for IBM DB2 on the Mainframe discovery consists of entering a range of IP addresses from which it will locate and inventory all the database components within that range. As a result of the Discovery, version numbers and names of each discovered component is also provided.
